Lindys AND Mixed Media Place March Challenge:

Hello Friends.. Glad to meet u all with another fabulous project. Spring is Special.. Spring is all about Freshness/Flowers/Colors. Fresh idea came to do something unique which I have never done before, that too with lot of flowers and vibrant colors. This project took lot of time. But it came out pretty well.. Its very difficult to explain step by step.  I prepared a video tutotial too. Its under process. Soon will publish it. I really need to thank Lindys and MMP for bringing this challenge on SPRING which gave an oppurtunity to try something different and special.
 I used lot of Lindys Starburst Sprays and tons of Finnabair/Prima Products and lot of cute and beautiful embellishments from my stash. I am totally in love with this project. Hope u too..

More Than Words - COMFORTABLE

Dear Friends, another great project wanted to share with u all.. Its a layout I did for More than Words March challenge "Comfortable". 

The word Comfortable reminded me of my daughters. They have a great bonding with each other as I am with my sisters. What else can be more COMFORTABLE than hugged by trusting arms. So I thought of doing a layout with my daughters both hugging each other. 

I used paper from My Minds Eye - Lost & Found Christmas. Thought this paper suits for the colorboard they gave. The paper is simply awesome. It have beautiful glitter strips on it. Not just for Christmas but can be used for project like this too.

I started building up by adding embellishment to my layout. Added some Teal Burlap and some cute flowers from my stash. Also some dried corn, dried plants and flowers (my cousin gave to me) too.
Added the glitter stickers from Bella Glittered Chipboard.

 The teal colour chipboard added beauty to this page. Added a butterfly on left top corner with some chipboard from my stack. Stamped with Prima music notes, and  embossed it with lindysgang Embossing powder Tannenbaum Green Gold.

Later added the feather and hearts which I did for another project..  Using Carta Bella Lattice Stencil I did some texture.. It looks lovely. Added some blings from my stash. Finally I added some twine taken from the teal burlap and added it to the flower clusters.

A Blessed Family

Dear Friends, I am back with a project more close to my heart. Yes its about my loving family... the most COMFORTABLE place for me in this world because its where I can be as I am. Yeah using this layout for More Than Words March Challenge - COMFORTABLE.

 

I Used Prima Love Clippings 12x12 Collection papers for my base. I then used the Martha steward Scallop Punch to create the border for my background Photo mat. I used some Lindys spray for my background to highlight. I also used Pink Ladies Pink, Autumn maple calmson, Alpine Ice Rose. I also did some splashes over the pages.

Did some stamping around the picture area with Ingvild Bolme Fluid Chalk Ink Dark Bark,Vintage Pink, Rose Bud and Brick Wall.. I used Bo Bunny Sugar Glitter Paste and Finnabair Art Ingredients Mica Powder Deep Water to make a smooth paste. With the help of Crafters Workshop Stencil, North Star, I added some texture in some areas..Added Ranger Stickles Star Dust in the center of the cute texture. It gave a uniqueness to the page..

 Now I started assembling the embellishments near the picture. Had a beautiful wooden chipboard in my stash. I bought that from India when I went for vacation. I wanted to incorporate that in my project. Added a beautiful flower from Little Birdie Boutique Elements collection, some flowers are hand made by me with Heartfelt creation dies and stamps , and some from my stash...., the flowers always added beauty to my page.

I also wanted to add this cute chipboard Blessed to my page. I used black gesso to paint the whole chipboard. Then I used Versa mark embossing ink and Lindys Cosmic Pink Blue embossing powder to emboss it. I totally love the effect. These embossing powders have a magical quality, when you use it with a white gesso coated chipboard the effect is a pink color. But if you use it with black gesso coated chipboard then the effect is a deep blue color.

 I tore some paper and tried to give a torn look effect .. I distressed the areas with Ingvild Bolme Fluid Chalk Ink Dark Bark and Brick Wall.. It gave an old look. Also added some trims from my stash in the torn areas..This gave a cute accent to my page.. I am totally in love with this product.

My Journal Cover

 

Dear friends, sharing another great project with u all. I love to keep a journal book for me to write some memorable moments. My earlier journal almost going to finish, so i was looking for a new one. When I came across this book I felt an urge to buy that book. I loved the burlap texture on the cover. My daughter asked me to go for a better one saying this is very simple. I told her yes it looks simple but I have a plan to give a complete makeover to it.  

Using Prima Elemental Stencil Bubbles and with Finnabair Modelling Paste I added some cute bubble texture. Once it dried I started adding my embellishments. I used lot of Finnabair Mechanicals SteamPunk Gears , Plated Labels , Heart Locket Pendants , Leaves 1, Washers #2,  Some cute trims and metal emblishments from my stash. Glued it with Prima Art Basics Heavy Body Gel. 

This Heavy Gel medium is one of my fav products. It holds them very firmly... I added some emblishment at the back of my cover too. Pls make sure its not tooo bulky behind.. 

Allow them to air dry the whole night.. 

  Once it completly dried I started to color the whole journal cover with Prima Art Basics Heavy black gesso . I sprayed with lindysgang Starburst Cadbury Milk Chocolate  , Dark Chocolate Truffle , and Cowabunga Copper Shimmer Sprays. Once it completly dried, I started dry brushing this gorgeous piece with Art Alchemy Metallique Paints from Finnabair. Dark Velvet, Rich Turquoise, Wild Fuchsia, Ancient Coin, Art Alchemy Opal Magic Violet Green,  Rose Gold, Sparks Unicorns Hair. 

  

Finally highlighted some areas with Art Achemy Waxes White Gold.  Hope you loved my project..

An empty BOTTLE

Hi friends, I am back with another mixed media project, an altered bottle. 

I selected few embellishments from my stash and glued it on the bottle. Then I covered the whole bottle with aluminium foil. Love the texture that aluminium foil created. Started using Prima Art Alchemy Metallique Paints, Deep water, Emerald Green, Lime Peel, Green Olive till i got this look. Finally I rubbed it with Prima Art Alchemy Wax White Gold. I am totally in love with this project. Hope u too love it..
